SUBJECT AND OBJECT QUESTIONS

If you’re asking about the doer/subject, then DON’T use do/does/did:

    What damaged your house?
If you’re asking about the receiver/object, then YES – use do/does/did:

TOO/ALSO

Also y too son conectores que expresan adición.

  • I'm going to the cinema. Tom's going to the cinema too - Voy a ir al cine.

    Posición de also:

    1. Después del verbo “to be”.

  • I was also at the stadium – Yo también estaba en el estadio

    2. Antes de los verbos simples.

  • My teacher thinks I should take an extra course. I, too, consider it a good idea –Mi profesor opina que debería hacer un curso extra.

  • I also play tennis.

  • I, too, play tennis.

    Importante:

En oraciones negativas no se usa ni ”also” ni “too”, sino “either”.

  • He also can't sing.

  • He can't sing too.

  • He can't sing either – Él tampoco sabe cantar.
